My vision for a sustainable city focuses on growth where infrastructure and services already exist alongside a modern public transportation system. Accelerating downtown residential and commercial growth will make Saskatoon more affordable, efficient and sustainable.

We’ll prioritize sidewalks, multi-use pathways and active transportation. Working with residents, we will co-create corridor plans near LINK, while also adding green space, maintaining parks, protecting our urban forest, and taking a new approach to green our centre medians with native species.

We will also accelerate energy efficiency, which will reduce emissions and save energy costs. Together, we will transform Saskatoon into a modern 21st century city that is people-focused, with strong infrastructure and enhanced green spaces, improving quality of life and reducing costs for all of us.

Supporting Green Growth and Mobility

Energy efficiency and green spaces are key to creating a livable city. They contribute to cost savings for residents and make our community healthier and more resilient. From modernizing transportation to investing in urban greenery, I’ve consistently supported initiatives that align with this vision.

As Councillor, I have championed:

  • Modern Public Transportation through the LINK system—like a subway on wheels
  • Saskatoon’s first solar farm, a critical step in renewable energy
  • Accessible sidewalks and multi-use pathways, so all residents can move around freely
  • Investments in our urban forest to expand and protect our green canopy
  • The Home Energy Loan Program (HELP), helping residents improve energy efficiency and save money
  • A flood mitigation strategy through dry ponds and improvements to public spaces, enhancing both safety and quality of life
  • Safe cycling infrastructure to protect riders, especially near major intersections such as College & Wiggins

Optimizing Infrastructure

A sustainable future for Saskatoon means meeting today’s needs while ensuring future generations can thrive.

My plan is to make the most of the city space we already have, looking after basic infrastructure and incentivizing growth in downtown and areas inside Circle Drive, along LINK routes. This is a sustainable approach that saves money.

Key priorities:

  • Basic infrastructure - Ensure best practices for maintaining roads, accessible sidewalks and underground infrastructure
  • Active transportation - Accelerate active ways of moving around, including more multi-use pathways
  • Move forward with LINK
  • Green Infrastructure - Mitigate flooding, and enhance public realm

Enhancing Our Natural Landscapes

Our green spaces and natural landscapes are vital for a healthy and sustainable city. Investing in green infrastructure not only beautifies our surroundings but also saves money.

Key priorities:

  • Continuing to invest in Meewasin and other conservation efforts
  • Protecting and expanding our urban forest to enhance the city's canopy
  • Greening centre medians by incorporating more native species to support biodiversity
  • Promoting smart irrigation practices to conserve water and reduce costs

Accelerating Smart Energy

Moving toward a clean energy future is essential for Saskatoon’s long-term sustainability. My plan aims to fast-track energy-efficient practices and renewable energy projects across the city, reduce emissions and save money.

Key priorities:

  • Move to a zero-emission fleet for city vehicles
  • Complete Saskatoon’s first solar farm
  • Continue renovation strategy for civic buildings to improve performance and reduce energy costs
  • Expand the Home Energy Loan Program to include small businesses

We can build a more sustainable, efficient, and affordable city. Let's move forward with practical solutions that protect our environment and improve quality of life, while reducing costs for residents and businesses.

As I run for mayor, I want to recognize that we are on Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional land of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dene, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota, and the Métis Nation.

Living and working here is a privilege, and I acknowledge the deep history and contributions of the Indigenous peoples who have cared for this land long before it became Saskatoon.

In my campaign and beyond, I’m committed to respecting our shared history and working together to build a city where everyone’s voice matters.
