My journey to ignite change

Growing up on a farm just outside Saskatoon, I learned the value of hard work and the power of community from an early age. I’d often find myself daydreaming, imagining a future where anything was possible. Those simple, yet profound, early lessons of perseverance and the strength that comes from a close-knit community have stuck with me throughout my life.

Now, as a proud resident of Saskatoon, I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a diverse and vibrant city. My journey from the farm to the streets of Saskatoon has been filled with unexpected twists and turns. I’ve worn many hats along the way—journalist, business owner, City Council member—but each role has given me a deeper understanding of the importance of inclusion and the richness that diversity brings to our lives.

As I run for mayor, I want to recognize that we are on Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional land of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dene, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota, and the Métis Nation.

Living and working here is a privilege, and I acknowledge the deep history and contributions of the Indigenous peoples who have cared for this land long before it became Saskatoon.

In my campaign and beyond, I’m committed to respecting our shared history and working together to build a city where everyone’s voice matters.
